Description: This adolescent book includes 9 stories of Canadian buried treasure and 2 stories of Canadian sunken treasure.  “Le Chameau” sank off Cape Breton Island in Canada in 1725.  The wreck was salvaged in early 1960s with 876 gold coins and 7619 silver coins recovered.  The “Atlantic” sank in Lake Erie in 1852 with $36,000 in the vault.  Johnny Green tried to salvage the safe shortly after it sank and he almost got it, but the 165 foot depth crippled him.  The safe was ultimately salvaged by Elliot P. Harrington several years later.  More recently 600 artifacts were recovered.
