Editions: The first edition (First Published – stated) was published by Peter Lunn (Publishers) Limited, London (1947), in hardback with a dust jacket. This edition has a blue and yellow dust jacket with a picture of a ship in the background and some pirates burying a treasure chest in the foreground. There appears to be another edition of the book with a different dust jacket…but the actual book and the contents are identical to the first edition. In this edition, the dust jacket is yellow and orange with 5 rows of caricatures of people and animals on it…and the words, “World Favourite Library For Boys & Girls,” along the top.
