Description: This book tells the story of the sinking and subsequent salvage of the British heavy cruiser, “HMS Edinburgh”, which sank in arctic waters in 1942 with 465 bars of Russian gold aboard. The author was one of the participants in the salvage operation. The book also includes a chapter about the “Concepcion” which sank in 1641 off the coast of Hispaniola and was partially salvaged by William Phips.
