Editions: The first edition (not stated) was published by the Eakin Press, Austin, TX (1979), in hardback with a dust jacket. The first printings can be identified by the ship illustration in the middle of the copyright page and very dark navy blue textured boards. Also, the inserted map is folded with the printing on the inside. The more common subsequent printings put the ship illustration at the top of the copyright page and have smooth middle-blue boards. The later printings have the inserted map folded with the printing on the outside. A second edition (stated) of the book was published in paperback by the Eakin Press in 1996.
Description: This book covers a multitude of lost treasures along the east coast of Texas. There are 10 short chapters about sunken treasures, including the 1554 Fleet wrecked off Padre Island, 2 ships from the 1766 fleet that wrecked off Galveston Island, and the “Santa Rosa” (“Texas’ most famous treasure tale”).
